Treatment approach

As a physician, I specialize in psychiatry because I believe the connection between mental and physical health is profound. I understand that your experience of distress and your path to mental health and wellness are unique. I approach my patients with compassion, respect, and a commitment to confidentiality. I utilize a variety of frameworks in order to optimize and individualize care, including psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, self-care guidance, and judicious use of medications. I value my work with those who are coping with transitions, whether welcome or unwelcome, personal or professional. I have a deep interest in issues related to: parenting, caregiving, pre- or post-conception, adoption, and the life adjustments and growth that a caregiving role requires. I strive to support those who are coping with terminal illness - or their loved ones - in finding meaning at the end of life.
